How to measure for dog collar
The Perfect Fit
How to measure for dog collar? Every collar company has different formulas for measuring. It confuses the heck out of me. The measurement you give me will be the center hole on your new collar. There will be a total of 5 holes 2 on each side of the measurement you give me.
Don’t worry even if you get this wrong, collars come with satisfaction guarantee so please let me know if something went wrong….. I want my dog and cat collars on dogs and cats not useless because they are too big or small…
A couple ways to insure your giving me the best measurement to work with.
- Measure your dogs old collar from buckle to current hole he/she uses. This measurement will be the center hole on your new collar. There will be 2 holes bigger and 2 smaller.
- Measure your dogs neck where you like his/her collar to sit. This measurement will be the center hole on your new collar.
- If you do not have a cloth measuring tape, wrap a string around your dogs neck. Mark where it meets, then measure the string. Again this will be the center hole in your new collar.
